The whole team crossed a huge defining point in our project at Milestone 1 on October 25th. It was a journey of epic proportions, including a themed slide show, some encouraging smiles from Julie, and a board of professional engineers that would decide our fate.

In reality, we had to present our project, its context (the country, region, and the client community), the issues we're addressing and how we're going to continue with our project to a board of engineers called SLAB. SLAB serves to check our work and make sure we don't overlook any details that could cause issues; they are a guiding hand, a good technical information resource, and are the ones who have to approve or nix our project every step of the way.

GOOD NEWS! We really impressed SLAB with our thoroughness and the level of close communication we've been having with Garden of Hope and AP1. Thanks to them (our wonderful NGOs) we have a strong start to a great project!
