Meet our Team

I am a 5th year Chemical Engineering student from Georgetown, Texas, graduating with specialization in Environmental Engineering and the Business Foundations Certificate. I joined PUC because I want to use my engineering degree to benefit those who have not had the same privileges that I have had in my life. Outside of school, I love to find new hiking spots around Austin with my awesome dog. A fun fact about me is that I will be traveling this December to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania!

Hello! I’m currently a 1st year Master’s student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I grew up in Houston, but Austin is slowly taking over number 1 in my heart. I joined PUC because I want to know how engineering can help improve the lives of others internationally. Plus, it’ll be awesome if I could do PUC-type work as a full-time job in the future. My hobbies include singing, hiking, snapchatting, and traveling. A fun fact is that I can whistle between my teeth.

I’m a born and raised Austinite and a second year Environmental Engineer who enjoys dancing to my favorite jams and playing soccer. I joined PUC to see what engineering can contribute to sustainability around the world. Fun Fact: My childhood nick name is Dobby.

I am a senior Architectural Engineering student with a focus on Construction and Project Management. I joined PUC because I have a strong interest in engineering projects that have positive impacts on communities in need and hope to work for nonprofit organizations with similar missions at some point in my career. This has become a passion of mine because there are so many communities that can benefit from the knowledge and resources my education has provided me and other engineers. I want to use the skills that I have learned to help others who haven’t had the same opportunities. In my free time, I love watching scary movies, spending time with my friends, and meowing with my cat. A fun fact about me is that Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday of the year.

Hey everyone! I’m a senior Mechanical Engineering student and I’ll be graduating with a Business Foundations Certificate as well. I chose to pursue engineering because I’ve always loved design, and engineering gave me the opportunity to merge that passion for art with the ability to help others by improving the world we live in--I joined PUC because I know there are a lot of hard working communities that simply do not have access to resources in the same way we do and I wanted to learn ways I could help make those communities safer, more sustainable, make resources more accessible, etc.--PUC is helping me learn ways to do that. Fun fact about me: I was the number one cup stacking champion at my elementary school… still one of my greatest achievements.

Heyo! I’m a fourth year Civil Engineering and Plan II major and I’m hoping to focus more on sustainable building and structures. I decided to join PUC because I’ve seen firsthand the lack of infrastructure and resources that underdeveloped countries have. There’s a huge need, and this is my way of saying ‘count me in, I’m here to help!’. Engineering has the potential to have a huge societal impact, and that’s the side I want to tap into. My life outside engineering is a modge podge of going on hikes, finding opportunities to travel and work abroad, and reading philosophy books. Strange, but they all work! A fun fact is i'm on the verge of carpal tunnel because i type too much but itll be okay lol

Hi there, I'm from Sunny California. In the Spring I will be a Senior Social Work student at UT. I hope to work with at risk youth using Trauma informed direct care and Advocacy. I wanted to take part in PUC because I was drawn to the hands on sustainable development as well as the opportunity to apply my growing skills by partnering with and learning from a community to create something meaningful with them. I’m also excited to be able to do this internationally and work on my Spanish.  In my free time I like to explore, whether it be a city or outdoors, listen to and play music and  hang out with kids and animals. My fun fact is I enjoy randomly being upside down, which I usually remedy with a cartwheel.

Hola! I’m currently in my second year of studying Mechanical Engineering, with a focus in Design and Manufacturing. I decided to join PUC because I’m extremely dedicated to engineering, hands-on experiences, and community service. On academic breaks, I like to travel to different countries and learn about people and their lifestyles. My fun fact is that you can find me doing my favorite thing here!

Hi everyone! I’m a second year Plan II and Aerospace Engineering student here at UT Austin. I’ve always admired engineering for its ability to address any problem through tangible, effective solutions. That’s why I joined PUC - I am passionate about service, and working with an underserved community to address their needs would allow me to put engineering to its best use. While my specific interests range from national security to sustainability, it is this core mission of PUC that I value above all. In my free time, I like to read, swim, and eat (though I do that during busy times too). Fun fact: I’m really bad at thinking of fun facts!

I’m a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering and a member of the Texas Wranglers, the spirit group for the UT Men’s Basketball Team. My passion is community service, so I've spent hundreds of hours working around Dallas and Austin, mostly in mentorship programs for elementary and middle school students. I joined PUC- Guatemala because this project requires technical engineering skills, but at its core this project is about helping a community overcome its problems. When I’m not at school you can find me backpacking in Colorado or Utah. Fun Fact: I’ve been to 31 US States!
